The 1970s brought about a renaissance of both Hungarian folk music as well as South Slavic musical traditions in Hungary. The Vujicsics Ensemble is the oldest and most prominent representative of the latter.

Soulistic was born in 2016 as a collaboration of renowned singer Andrea Malek and pianist-composer Bandi Jáger. They feature a very special amalgamation of gospel and soul-jazz. “Soulistic” refers to the close connection between soul and music.
